Keep It Going! Marble Run Challenges

This is a two day project. Each grade level starts off on day one building a marble run using grade-specific materials.

• 4K: Cardboard Tubes

• 5K: Playdough

• 1st: Duplo Blocks

• 2nd: LEGO Bricks

• 3rd: Pegboards

• 4th: K’Nex

• 5th: KEVA Planks

The challenge sequence is as follows:

• Build marble run (Day 1)

• Record marble run (Day 1)

• Record team in front of green screen (Day 1)

• Create green screen video with DoInk App (Day 2)

At the conclusion of a challenge I always reflect on changes for “next time” we do this…

5K: no changes, keep doing playdough

1st: no changes, keep doing Duplos

2nd: no changes, keep doing LEGO bricks

3rd: use Keva Planks instead (NOT Pegboard)

4th: use Pegboard instead (NOT K’Nex)

5th: use K’Nex instead (NOT Keva Planks)
